What\u2019s in it?<\/strong><\/h1>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Ascorbyl Glucoside is a water soluble derivative of Vitamin C and has shown to offer antioxidant and specific skin brightening benefits. It is less potent than direct L-ascorbic Acid and it is not as well researched and scientifically proven for its effectiveness as pure Vitamin C.<\/p>\n

However,\u00a0 it is much more stable and comfortable to use compare to direct L-ascorbic Acid so there are little to no irritations and it is tolerable by most skin types.<\/p>\n

My Verdict<\/strong><\/h1>\n

I\u2019ve heard and researched about the array of benefits using pure L-ascorbic Acid topically but I was also afraid of the irritation it might cause so I wanted to start off with a vitamin C derivative. The glowing reviews and price point was the reason why<\/p>\n

I choose The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside solution 12%. I thought if the product caused any irritations I could return it as per The ordinary\u2019s return policy and I wouldn\u2019t waste my money.<\/p>\n

The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside solution 12% is a gentle vitamin C serum and it hasn\u2019t caused any irritations or break outs to my sensitive skin. I would consider it to be a good hydrating serum which gave my skin a nice glow but I didn\u2019t see much difference in fading dark spots or acne scars. The texture has a slightly tacky feeling like most of the ordinary products but I haven\u2019t experienced any pilling.<\/p>\n

It is a good starter vitamin C serum because it gets along with other active ingredients, layers well with other serums, so you can easily incorporate it into your normal skincare routine. However, if you are expecting the same results from pure L-ascorbic Acid then you will be left disappointed.<\/p>\n

30ml for $20.9. One bottle will take around 3 months to finish.<\/p>\n

Beauty Tip<\/strong><\/h1>\n

I would use The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside solution 12% after my toner and hydrating serum as these have lighter consistency. Don\u2019t put The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside solution 12% directly onto your skin after cleansing if you never used any form of Vitamin C or have very sensitive skin to reduce your chance of developing irritations.<\/p>\n

Even though I enjoyed using The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside solution 12% but I will probably not repurchase this because I would like to try direct L-ascorbic Acid. I would recommend The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside solution 12% for anyone who wants to try Vitamin C but has very sensitive skin and can\u2019t tolerate it.<\/p>\n
